Connecticut Bobber Apparel

The Merritt Parkway runs 37 miles through Fairfield County with no commercial traffic allowed - just 69 one-of-a-kind Art Deco bridges arching over a two-lane that feels carved out of the forest. Sunday-morning riders out of the New York metro have been running it for decades. Push northwest into the Litchfield Hills and the road narrows down to sugar maple and birch, scarlet and gold come October, the tightest New England back-country riding within two hours of the city. Connecticut is small, dense, and built. Original Connecticut biker shirts, printed on heavyweight ring-spun cotton, shipped to riders in over 70 countries.

The Robin, the Armory, and the Constitution State

The mark on this gear is the American robin, the state bird, drawn side-on with its orange breast forward, the way it looks when it lands on a fence rail in April and the riding season opens back up. We built the rest of the design around the roads riders here actually run. There is an Art Deco bridge arch off the Merritt Parkway, the shape you pass under all morning on that no-trucks two-lane through Fairfield County. There is the onion dome of Colt's old Hartford armory, industrial craft from a city that knew how to build. And the banner reads Constitution State, the name Connecticut riders carry. Every piece points back to the same thing: a small, dense, built-up state and the back roads worth chasing across it.

Materials & Who It's For

This one was made for the Connecticut-born rider who does the Litchfield Hills fall loop every year, and it makes a straight gift for any NYC-area rider whose weekend runs cross the Merritt. Tees are heavyweight 5.3oz ring-spun cotton, side-seamed and pre-shrunk. Hoodies are 8.0oz cotton-poly fleece with double-needle stitching at the stress points. Caps use raised embroidery on a structured six-panel. Every piece is checked by hand before it ships and tracked to your door in over 70 countries.
