It is called the Solitude sprint festival locally - Glemseck 101 to those who make the pilgrimage - and it is the reason the German custom scene punches above its weight in Europe. Beyond Stuttgart, the Schwarzwald hands riders some of the best dense-canopy roads on the continent, and Munich has been building horizontally-opposed twin-cylinder engines since 1923.
