Slag heap, steel loop, and Glückauf

Every rider who runs the Route der Industriekultur ends up under the same steel loop, so that is the mark we put on the garment. The mascot is the Tiger & Turtle silhouette: the sweeping roller-coaster curve on the old slag heap above Duisburg, a loop you can walk but never ride. We drew it bold, curve and loop clean against nothing, because that outline alone reads as Duisburg from any parking lot in the world. Around it we set the Landschaftspark furnace towers and the crane at the world's largest inland port, and the Schwanentorbrücke's cast-iron swan pivot carries the scene across the Rhine. The banner closes on Glückauf, the send-off miners traded at the shaft mouth, meaning may the way open safely. Wear it on the next ride-out and the whole Revier goes with you.
