Hamburg Bobber Apparel

Every late June, 60,000 riders converge on the Grossmarkt in Hammerbrook, and on Sunday morning the convoy crosses the Köhlbrandbrücke with the harbour cranes behind them and rolls all the way down to the Landungsbrücken piers - an estimated 600,000 people lining the streets to watch. This is the Hamburg Harbour Bike Festival, one of the biggest classic motorcycle gatherings in Europe, and the waterfront at the Landungsbrücken is where the scene keeps going long after the event grounds close. Red-brick Speicherstadt rising from the Alster Fleet, the copper-green Michel tower above the rooftops, salt air off the Elbe. Original Hamburg biker shirts, printed on heavyweight ring-spun cotton, shipped to riders in over 70 countries.

White Castle, Red Field, Tor zur Welt

Every late June the convoy forms up at the Grossmarkt, crosses the Köhlbrandbrücke with the harbour cranes behind it, and rolls down to the Landungsbrücken piers. The mark riding at the front of all that is what we put on the shirt: the three-tower white castle, Hamburg's own since the 13th century. We drew it clean, three towers and a central gate, bold enough to hold a breast print or carry the full chest. Around it sits the harbour world these bikes live in: Speicherstadt brick and canal water, the Michel dome watching the Elbe, the bridge arcing over the port. Riders here say Moin to whoever pulls in next to them, one word, any hour. Pull up to the waterfront in this and you belong there.

Materials & Who It's For

This one is made for the Hamburg local who rides, the festival-goer who made the Harbour Bike Festival Grand Parade and wants something to show for it, and the North German diaspora who still says Moin out of habit. It hits as hometown pride to anyone from the port city and as a real souvenir to everyone who rode in from somewhere else. Tees are heavyweight 5.3oz ring-spun cotton, side-seamed and pre-shrunk. Hoodies are 8.0oz cotton-poly fleece with double-needle stitching at the stress points. Caps use raised embroidery on a structured six-panel. Every piece is checked by hand before it ships and tracked to your door in over 70 countries.
