Köln Bobber Apparel

At the Colonia Brauhaus, a round of Kölsch in slender 200ml Stangen arrives before anyone asks. Bikes park out front, riders inside plan the next loop - Eifel volcanoes to the southwest, the Rhine valley north, the Bergisches Land hills east. INTERMOT fills the Koelnmesse halls every few years with more iron than most cities see in a lifetime, pulling builders and buyers here from across the globe. Above all of it stand the Dom twin spires, near-black stone, 157 metres of Gothic pointing straight up, the same silhouette riders have seen when they roll back into Köln from wherever the road took them. Original Köln biker shirts, printed on heavyweight ring-spun cotton, shipped to riders in over 70 countries.

632 Years in the Making, One Silhouette That Never Gets Old

Every rider who bases a Rhine valley run out of Köln knows the sight of the Dom spires coming back in at dusk, sharp Gothic points against nothing. So that is the mark we lead with, stripped to a clean black silhouette, the same icon that lives on every Kölsch glass and Karneval badge the city sends out. Around it we built the real Köln a rider actually moves through: a Stange of protected-designation Kölsch, the Hohenzollernbrücke railings thick with padlocks in the Rhine sun, the Koelnmesse tower behind the halls where the INTERMOT motorcycle show fills the floor with iron. The banner carries 'Op jück', Kölsch Platt for setting out on a ride, the words every Kölner says before the first throttle twist of the day.

Materials & Who It's For

This one is the call for the Kölner who rides and wants the city's own icon on their back, and an equally strong pick for anyone who came through for INTERMOT and left wanting something to show for it. It works as a Karneval-season gift and as a keepsake for riders who ran the Rhine-Eifel loop and used Köln as their base. Tees are heavyweight 5.3oz ring-spun cotton, side-seamed and pre-shrunk. Hoodies are 8.0oz cotton-poly fleece with double-needle stitching at every stress point. Caps use raised embroidery on a structured six-panel. Every piece is checked by hand before it ships and tracked to your door in over 70 countries.
