United Kingdom Bobber Apparel
Before the modern motorcycle existed there were British builders, and from 1907 the fastest of them were racing a 37-mile stretch of Isle of Man public road through stone walls and mountain fog at speeds nobody else would touch. The Snaefell Mountain Road Race turned pilgrims out of riders from Tokyo to Toronto, and it still does every late spring. Back on the mainland, the Ton-Up Boys were doing their own damage - flat-out cafe racers chasing 100mph between roadside diners, leathers done up tight, the Ace Cafe on the A406 as the meeting point. This collection comes from that unbroken line. Original United Kingdom biker shirts, printed on heavyweight ring-spun cotton, shipped to riders in over 70 countries.
The Bulldog, Drawn for the Garage
Picture the bike parked at the kerb after a long wet run, engine ticking as it cools. That is where this design lives. The mascot is the English bulldog, broad-shouldered and jaw set, drawn sitting square at the front wheel and watching the road like it is waiting for you to fire up and go again. The bulldog is the mark you wear - British nerve that does not give ground. Behind the dog we set the backdrop riders picture when they think of home turf: Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament along the Thames, a red telephone box on the corner, green hills rolling out under a low evening sun. Old stone, hard weather, and a dog that will not quit - the whole British ride in one frame.
Materials & Who It's For
This one is built for three kinds of rider: the British expat in the US or Australia who wants a pride-of-homeland piece that is not a football shirt, the international rider who made the Isle of Man road race pilgrimage and wants something that outlasts the trip, and the Triumph-obsessed American who wants to represent the birthplace of the classic British bike. Tees are heavyweight 5.3oz ring-spun cotton, side-seamed and pre-shrunk. Hoodies are 8.0oz cotton-poly fleece with double-needle stitching at the stress points. Caps use raised embroidery on a structured six-panel. Every piece is checked by hand before it ships and tracked to your door in over 70 countries.
