Drop down the A4 Portway with the Avon Gorge cliff wall on your right and the tidal river on your left, and you understand why Bristol riders call it their warm-up lap. From there the Mendip Hills are twenty minutes south, Cheddar Gorge another ten, and Exmoor is close enough for a full-day blast on the B3224. The custom-build and cafe racer crowd traces back to the Harbourside and Stokes Croft, where bolt-up culture lives next to brick walls covered in bold urban murals. The city that engineered the SS Great Britain and put Concorde in the air takes its machinery seriously. Original Bristol biker shirts, printed on heavyweight ring-spun cotton, shipped to riders in over 70 countries.

Brunel's Bridge and the Bristolian Rider

Ask a Bristol rider where the day starts and it is the A4 Portway, gorge wall on one side, tidal Avon on the other, before the run south to Cheddar and the Mendips. That ride is what these pieces are built around. The mark you wear is Brunel's Clifton Suspension Bridge, its twin Egyptian Revival towers in hard silhouette above the gorge, the suspension chains strung between them like a spine. A rider who respects a finely engineered machine reads that bridge on sight. We set the scene under it: the Portway threading between limestone and river, the warm brick of the Floating Harbour warehouses, a suggestion of Stokes Croft spray-paint behind the lot. The banner carries 'Bristolian', the word for both the rider and the dialect. Gert lush, as they say.

Materials & Who It's For

This one is for the Bristol-born rider who wants a hometown piece that actually represents the place, the touring motorcyclist who rode the Portway and wants to remember it, and the friend buying a gift for whoever does the Cheddar and Exmoor loop on weekends. Tees are heavyweight 5.3oz ring-spun cotton, side-seamed and pre-shrunk. Hoodies are 8.0oz cotton-poly fleece with double-needle stitching at the stress points. Caps use raised embroidery on a structured six-panel. Every piece is checked by hand before it ships and tracked to your door in over 70 countries.
