Somewhere in the 1980s a Glaswegian climbed the Duke of Wellington's bronze horse in Royal Exchange Square and planted an orange traffic cone on the statue's head. The council has tried to keep it down ever since. The cone always comes back. That particular form of stubbornness - irreverent, deadpan, impossible to shift - is what Glasgow riding is built on. Take the A82 north through Dumbarton and twenty minutes later the loch opens out on your left, Ben Lomond straight ahead, and the whole day stretches out to the Rest and Be Thankful pass and back. Original Glasgow biker shirts, printed on heavyweight ring-spun cotton, shipped to riders in over 70 countries.
Cones, Clyde, and the St Mungo legend
Every piece here is built around the road north out of Glasgow - the A82 along Loch Lomond, the A83 over Rest and Be Thankful, the Trossachs loop riders make a summer tradition. The mark you wear is the Duke of Wellington: equestrian bronze, silhouette simplified, orange cone riding his head the way a Weegie left it, high-contrast because the cone is the whole point. Around him we set the loch shoreline with the single-track road running north, a shaggy Highland coo grazing the verge, and the robin, oak, bell, and salmon from the old St Mungo legend - each a separate element, not the full civic arms. Along the banner, three words any Weegie will recognise: Pure dead brilliant. Wear it to the West End meet or the start of the run.
Materials & Who It's For
The Glasgow piece is the hometown-pride buy for the Weegie rider, the souvenir for the touring motorcyclist who made the Loch Lomond run, and the right gift for whoever does the Trossachs loop every summer and considers it a personal tradition. Tees are heavyweight 5.3oz ring-spun cotton, side-seamed and pre-shrunk. Hoodies are 8.0oz cotton-poly fleece with double-needle stitching at the stress points. Caps use raised embroidery on a structured six-panel. Every piece is checked by hand before it ships and tracked to your door in over 70 countries.
