On the North Circular Road in 1958, a generation of young riders were doing the ton between transport cafes while the city slept. They called themselves ton-up boys - a hundred miles an hour on public roads, leather jackets, stripped-back bikes - and the place they gathered was a roadside diner called the Ace Cafe. That building on the North Circular is the birthplace of the cafe racer movement. This collection is cut for riders who know that history and the ones chasing it.
