DE-1 runs the full length of Delaware's Atlantic coast, scrub pine on one side, barrier beach on the other, and the road stays flat and fast until it drops you at the Lewes dock where you queue up for the Cape May ferry crossing. Seventeen miles of Delaware Bay with the throttle off and nothing to do but watch the water. Riders out of Philadelphia, DC, and Baltimore know this loop. Delaware is the pass-through that turns into the destination. The Blue Hen that anchors the design earned its reputation before this state was a state. Original Delaware biker shirts, printed on heavyweight ring-spun cotton, shipped to riders in over 70 countries.

The First State's Fighting Bird

The mark you ride under is the Blue Hen, and it earns its place. We drew Delaware's state bird in full fighting stance - wings spread, tail feathers fanned, a defiant gamebird profile, not a barnyard hen. It rewards a second look on the shirt, which is the point. Around it we set Fort Delaware's granite bastions rising from the river at Pea Patch Island, the colonial buff-and-blue of the state flag, and the long coast highway heading south toward the Lewes dock and the bay crossing. The banner reads 'The First State'. This is gear for the rider who runs DE-1, closes the coastal loop through the ferry, and flies Delaware on their back - state pride that never reads like a gas-station souvenir.

Materials & Who It's For

This one is built for the Delaware local flying the state bird on their back, the Mid-Atlantic rider who closes the Jersey Shore coastal loop through Lewes, and the partner buying for the rider who did the full DE-1 run last summer. It is state pride that doesn't look like a gas-station souvenir. Tees are heavyweight 5.3oz ring-spun cotton, side-seamed and pre-shrunk. Hoodies are 8.0oz cotton-poly fleece with double-needle stitching at the stress points. Caps use raised embroidery on a structured six-panel. Every piece is checked by hand before it ships and tracked to your door in over 70 countries.
