ID-75 out of Shoshone follows the Salmon River north for 116 miles before it drops you into Stanley at 6,260 feet with nothing but granite peaks in every direction. That is the Sawtooth Byway, and it is one of those rides you plan around, not through. Three hours west, ID-71 drops along the rim of Hells Canyon - 7,993 feet of void between you and the Snake River below, deeper than the Grand Canyon, and most of it with zero guardrail. Idaho does not advertise itself. That is the point. Original Idaho biker shirts, printed on heavyweight ring-spun cotton, shipped to riders in over 70 countries.

Spotted Rump, Open Road, Gem State

You ride Idaho for the empty roads - the Sawtooth granite over ID-75, the Hells Canyon rim with nothing but 7,993 feet of void on your right. The mark you wear is the Appaloosa, Idaho's state horse since 1975, bred in the Palouse for the kind of speed and endurance those miles ask for. We drew it at full gallop, side profile, mane out, the blanket of spots across its rump reading as a graphic from fifty feet. Around the horse sits the black lava plain of Craters of the Moon crossing under US-20, the Hells Canyon walls, and the jagged Sawtooth ridgeline framing it all. The banner carries 'Gem State', a nod to the star garnet Idaho pulls from the ground and almost nowhere else on Earth. Made for the rider who calls this backcountry home.

Materials & Who It's For

This one is the right call for the Idaho-born rider who wants state pride without a sports-team logo, for whoever is mapping the Sawtooth Byway as a bucket-list run, and for the Pacific Northwest touring rider who already completed Hells Canyon and needs something to show for it. Tees are heavyweight 5.3oz ring-spun cotton, side-seamed and pre-shrunk. Hoodies are 8.0oz cotton-poly fleece with double-needle stitching at stress points. Caps use raised embroidery on a structured six-panel. Every piece is checked by hand before it ships and tracked to your door in over 70 countries.
