At the Indianapolis Motor Speedway the finish line is still paved in brick. 250,000 seats, the largest sporting venue on earth, and every few summers the MotoGP paddock rolls in and sets up shop on that same 2.5-mile oval. That is the heartbeat of Indiana riding. Away from it you have Parke County's 31 covered bridges threading through hardwood hollows, and the Lake Michigan dunes rising 126 feet above the southern shore. The mascot that ties it together is the scarlet male cardinal - state bird since 1933 - perched on a bare winter branch against a grey Hoosier sky. Original Indiana biker shirts, printed on heavyweight ring-spun cotton, shipped to riders in over 70 countries.

Cardinal on a Winter Branch

Cold-morning ride, bare trees, grey sky - and a scarlet cardinal that holds its branch while everything else goes quiet. That is the mascot on this Indiana gear, red sharp against the dark, head close-cropped to read clean on a chest. It is the mark that ties the whole design together. Behind it we run the front straight at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, pagoda tower back on the horizon, the Yard of Bricks laid at the base where the brick finish line still sits. A covered bridge over Sugar Creek frames the edge, the way it looks on an October afternoon in Parke County - the county with more wooden covered bridges than anywhere else in the country and a natural day-trip loop for riders. 'Crossroads of America' rides the banner underneath, because every route you take out here runs through this state.

Materials & Who It's For

This one is right for the Indiana-born rider buying state-pride gear, the MotoGP spectator who wants a race-week piece that is not a corporate licensed tee, and the partner shopping for the Hoosier rider in their life. Tees are heavyweight 5.3oz ring-spun cotton, side-seamed and pre-shrunk. Hoodies are 8.0oz cotton-poly fleece with double-needle stitching at the stress points. Caps use raised embroidery on a structured six-panel. Every piece is checked by hand before it ships and tracked to your door in over 70 countries.
