Kansas Bobber Apparel

US-177 through the Flint Hills is 47 miles of the last intact tallgrass prairie in North America, and on a weekday morning you can run it without seeing another vehicle. The grass rolls to the horizon in every direction, amber-gold in late summer, the sky so wide it crowds the road. This is what Kansas riding is: open-plains distance, zero drama, a bison crossing sign and nothing behind you for thirty miles. We built this collection around that kind of road and the state animal that still owns it. Original Kansas biker shirts, printed on heavyweight ring-spun cotton, shipped to riders in over 70 countries.

Ad Astra, the Bison, and the Mother Road's Shortest Mile

Point a bike down the Flint Hills Byway or the Cimarron route and you get the ground the plains bison still owns - open prairie, huge sky, nothing behind you for thirty miles. That is the mark we put on this gear. The bull sits in side profile, head down, shaggy mane out, monumental against a flat prairie skyline, nothing rodeo about it. He is the state animal for a reason: nothing else built these plains. The scene carries into a sunflower field at golden hour and the 13-mile Route 66 stretch through Galena and Baxter Springs, the shortest state segment on the Mother Road and still worth the stop. Along the bottom rides Ad Astra Per Aspera, To the Stars Through Difficulties, a phrase that belongs to riders as much as it does to Kansas.

Materials & Who It's For

This one is built for the Kansas-born rider buying a state-pride piece they will actually wear, the Route 66 traveler picking up the Kansas-segment souvenir, and the touring rider who just crossed the Flint Hills and wants something to mark it. Tees are heavyweight 5.3oz ring-spun cotton, side-seamed and pre-shrunk. Hoodies are 8.0oz cotton-poly fleece with double-needle stitching at the stress points. Caps use raised embroidery on a structured six-panel. Every piece is checked by hand before it ships and tracked to your door in over 70 countries.
