Picture the ride first: a classic V-twin on a straight-line county road heading for Lake Winnebago, a red Wisconsin barn in the distance, vintage warbirds cutting across the sky overhead in late July. That is the scene these pieces carry, and the mark riding front and center is the American badger - face-on, white stripe crown-to-nose, front claws out. It is the mark you wear because it means Wisconsin. The state has answered to the Badger State since the 1830s, when miners up in the hills burrowed into the slopes through winter and the name stuck.
