Wisconsin Bobber Apparel

Up in the Northwoods, where Vilas County pine forests open onto glacial lakes, the two-lane roads run straight until they don't, and the summer riding season is short enough that nobody wastes a Saturday. Down in the southeast, the Lake Geneva lakefront roads fill with custom bikes from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Wisconsin's build scene is its own thing - Fox River Valley fabricators, independent vintage shows, wrenches-in-hand guys who never needed anyone's permission to build something worth riding. This collection is for all of them. Original Wisconsin biker shirts, printed on heavyweight ring-spun cotton, shipped to riders in over 70 countries.

Badger State, Earned the Hard Way

The mascot is the American badger - low to the ground, wide-clawed, striped face that works at any scale. Wisconsin adopted it as state animal in 1957, but the nickname 'Badger State' is older than that by 150 years. In the 1820s and 1830s, lead miners working the southwestern Wisconsin hills couldn't build shelters fast enough, so they dug into the hillsides and wintered underground like badgers. That is the story the name carries. We drew the badger in hard side profile, claws out, and built the scene around the Northwoods lake road running through birch and pine, with a white-tailed deer crossing the tree line in the distance. The banner ribbon reads 'The Badger State' - not a slogan we invented, just the one Wisconsin earned.

Materials & Who It's For

This one lands for the Wisconsin-born rider who has done the Lake Geneva run more times than they can count, the Northwoods touring rider who came for a weekend and stayed a week, and anyone buying for someone who identifies with the Badger State the way other people identify with their bike. Tees are heavyweight 5.3oz ring-spun cotton, side-seamed and pre-shrunk. Hoodies are 8.0oz cotton-poly fleece with double-needle stitching at the stress points. Caps use raised embroidery on a structured six-panel. Every piece is checked by hand before it ships and tracked to your door in over 70 countries.
