Malmö Bobber Apparel

Ride south through Skåne and you run out of Sweden at Malmö. From the Ribersborg shoreline you can see Denmark across the Öresund strait, and the bridge that connects them is exactly what it looks like from a tank: a straight shot over open water, cable stays rising against a coastal sky. Local riders call the crossing a rite of passage - Sweden to Denmark and back before dark. Behind you, the Turning Torso twists nine cubes into the sky above Västra Hamnen, and the griffin from the city's 1437 coat of arms is still the symbol everybody here reaches for. Original Malmö biker shirts, printed on heavyweight ring-spun cotton, shipped to riders in over 70 countries.

King Eric's Griffin and the Öresund Run

Point a bike south through Skåne and you run out of Sweden at Malmö, right where the Öresund Bridge takes over and carries you to Denmark. That crossing is the ride this artwork was drawn for. The mark riding over it is the Malmö griffin - half eagle up top, half lion from the haunches down - the creature this city has carried since 1437 and the one every rider here still reaches for. We drew it in bold clean lines against a dark field, no shield, just the beast standing on its own weight. The cable-stayed Öresund Bridge arches behind it, the same silhouette you see from Lernacken on the Swedish shore. Along the bottom the ribbon carries Skaneland, the name the riders of Skåne, Blekinge, and Halland have worn with pride for generations.

Materials & Who It's For

This one is built for the Malmö and Skåne rider who puts the griffin on their tank bag, for the Dane who crosses north on a regular basis, and for the Swedish diaspora rider who still claims the southern provinces as home. It reads as a hometown piece to Skaneland locals and a serious souvenir to everyone who made the bridge crossing once and wants to remember it. Tees are heavyweight 5.3oz ring-spun cotton, side-seamed and pre-shrunk. Hoodies are 8.0oz cotton-poly fleece with double-needle stitching at the stress points. Caps use raised embroidery on a structured six-panel. Every piece is checked by hand before it ships and tracked to your door in over 70 countries.
