Mae Hong Son was a royal elephant outpost before it had a road. For centuries the only way in was by elephant trek, tracing ridgelines that today's riders follow on Route 1095 through 762 bends between Chiang Mai and Pai. The full Mae Hong Son Loop stretches roughly 600km and counts 1,864 curves total - a number that shows up on signposts and becomes a permanent part of your brain once you've ridden it. Every November those same hillsides go yellow with Bua Tong, the wild sunflower that blankets the slopes at 1,600 meters. This collection carries that whole story. Chang Thai: Elephant, Outpost, Open Road

Riders roll out of Chiang Mai on everything from small bikes to adventure machines, point northwest, and start eating the 1,864 curves that make this Loop a pilgrimage. The mascot we wear for it is the Chang Thai, the Asian elephant in side profile, head low the way working elephants carry themselves. It is the animal that traced these mountain corridors before there was a road, and the Loop still follows those same paths. We drew it raw, no royal regalia, because this is a rider's piece and the history sits in the form, not the ceremony. Around the elephant we set the Lanna temple roofline with its curved naga finials, the hairpin signpost, and the gold hillside bloom. The banner closes on the province motto: 'Luen Nam Thin Bua Tong', famed land of the wild sunflower.
