The Rushing Wind Biker Church is a welcoming community where people gather to share love, celebrate the gospel, and embrace God’s grace. This article delves into the church’s mission, its inclusive environment, and the story behind its formation.
Rushing Wind Biker Church was formed as a fellowship of believers in the grace of Jesus Christ. The church is filled every Saturday evening with people who come to share love and celebrate the gospel. The main goal of the church is to lead people to faith in Christ, helping them grow in His image through the power of the Holy Spirit. The church emphasizes that it is open to everyone, without bias or judgment.
Established in June 2013 by Bikers for CNCWV (Christ of North Central West Virginia) and Jim Glaspell, the church was created with the vision to offer a place of worship for those who may feel unworthy or unable to attend traditional Sunday services. Jim Glaspell was inspired by God to start a Saturday night church for individuals seeking fellowship and spiritual growth.
The church’s motto, “Come as you are,” reflects its inclusive spirit. It is a place filled with God’s love, where people are encouraged to be themselves. Some individuals, particularly those struggling with addiction or other challenges, might feel that they do not deserve to attend church, but the Rushing Wind Biker Church strives to make everyone feel welcome regardless of their past or circumstances.
Jim Glaspell emphasizes that although the church was founded by bikers, it is open to all. Around 50% of the worshippers do not ride bikes. The church prides itself on its love and acceptance, welcoming people from all walks of life. Everyone is invited to join without fear of judgment.
The church’s mission is to bring people from all walks of life together. It serves as a sanctuary for those who feel they don’t fit in or are lost. Pastor Jim invites people to experience the love and truth that God has for them.
Every Saturday evening, Pastor Calvin Wears, also a state elder for Bikers for Christ, delivers the message. He highlights the church’s foundation in faith and love, emphasizing that there is no judgment-everyone is welcome to experience God’s love and truth. The service begins at 7:00 p.m., with camaraderie starting at 6:00 p.m.
