Genova Bobber Apparel

Drop down into Genova from the Ligurian Apennines and the first thing you see above the Porto Antico is La Lanterna, two octagonal stages stacked 117 meters above the sea, its light reaching 50 kilometers out. Rebuilt in 1543, it has been standing guard over this harbor ever since. The riding up in those mountains is equally serious: tight passes through olive groves and chestnut forest with the deep blue Mediterranean opening below every bend, connecting south toward the Cinque Terre villages and north toward the French border. This collection belongs to riders who know that road. Original Genova biker shirts, printed on heavyweight ring-spun cotton, shipped to riders in over 70 countries.

La Lanterna: 480 Years Over the Harbor

Ride the coast into Genova and the first thing that finds you above the Porto Antico is La Lanterna, so that is the mark we put at the center of this design. We drew it as a bold two-stage silhouette - the wider lower tower stepping up to the taller upper stage - with a light beam breaking upward off the top. Around it we built the scene a rider passes through: the red cross of the old Genoese republic on a white field, the Rolli palace facades on Via Garibaldi, the harbor cranes of the Porto Antico, and a winding Apennine road falling toward the sea. The banner at the bottom carries one word - Fugassa, the Genoese name for their focaccia, already coming off the bakers' trays at five in the morning while you fuel up for the coast run. Wear it and any Ligurian rider knows exactly where you have been.

Materials & Who It's For

This one lands best for the rider who staged in Genova on the Monaco-to-Cinque-Terre coastal run, or the Ligurian local who wants their city on something worth wearing. It also works as a real souvenir for anyone who came for the Porto Antico and left wanting more of the place. Tees are heavyweight 5.3oz ring-spun cotton, side-seamed and pre-shrunk. Hoodies are 8.0oz cotton-poly fleece with double-needle stitching at the stress points. Caps are raised embroidery on a structured six-panel. Every piece is checked by hand before it ships and tracked to your door in over 70 countries.
