Milano Bobber Apparel
Every November, six hundred thousand riders, journalists, and builders pour into the halls at Fiera Milano - Rho for the annual Milan Bike Show, the biggest motorcycle gathering on earth since 1914. After the show floor closes, the crowd drifts south to the Navigli canals - bars overflowing onto the towpath, the water reflecting neon, someone arguing about carburetors at the next table. Overhead at the Duomo, the Madonnina has watched this city from her gilded perch since 1774, the one figure every true Meneghino navigates home by. Original Milano biker shirts, printed on heavyweight ring-spun cotton, shipped to riders in over 70 countries.
The Madonnina and the Meneghino's City
Ride into Milano in November and you are rolling into the biggest motorcycle show on the planet, then unwinding down at the Navigli canals where the bike talk runs past midnight. The mark on these pieces is the Madonnina, the gilded figure every rider here steers home by. She has crowned the tallest spire of the Duomo since 1774, arms open over a city that still keeps every building below her. We stripped her to a bold vertical silhouette and set the rest of the ride around her: the Duomo's Gothic marble spires, the iron-and-glass arches of the Galleria, Castello Sforzesco over the moat, and a V-twin from the Lombard heartland where Italian classic motorcycle building has run for over a century. Meneghino is the old word for a true-born Milanese, and if you have done the Milan Bike Show, this one is yours.
Materials & Who It's For
This one was made for the rider who makes the annual Milan motorcycle trade show a pilgrimage, the Lombard or Italian rider who grew up under the Madonnina, and the international biker who finally did the November trip. It reads as a hometown piece to a Milanese and a serious souvenir to everyone else. Tees are heavyweight 5.3oz ring-spun cotton, side-seamed and pre-shrunk. Hoodies are 8.0oz cotton-poly fleece with double-needle stitching at every stress point. Caps use raised embroidery on a structured six-panel. Every piece is checked by hand before it ships and tracked to your door in over 70 countries.
