The Via Appia Antica leaves Rome through the city walls and keeps going south for 560 kilometres, paved in the same black basalt the Romans laid in 312 BC. Riders who know it clear the suburbs and let the road open up past the catacombs and umbrella pines, no traffic lights, just two lanes and two thousand years of history under the wheels. The Scooter Colosseum crew has been renting bikes out front of the amphitheatre since 1997 - Romans and travelers both, because this city has been two-wheeled since long before any modern brand claimed it. Original Roma biker shirts, printed on heavyweight ring-spun cotton, shipped to riders in over 70 countries.
Lupa Capitolina - 2,500 Years on the Crest
Ride the Appia south past the catacombs and the wolf is already everywhere around you - stamped on the manhole covers, worked into the old stone, riding the walls of the capital. So she is the mark on every piece here. The Capitoline Wolf, the Lupa Capitolina, stands alert with tail raised and the twin infants Romulus and Remus at her feet, the she-wolf who founded Roma. We drew her from the ancient bronze form, not the football version - profile strong enough to carry a breast print alone, or the full scene with the Colosseum's three tiers of arches rising behind her. SPQR sits in the Roman capitals you clock across the city. The banner closes on 'Caput Mundi', Head of the World, the title Romans still say with a straight face. Wear the wolf, ride the road she watches over.
Materials & Who It's For
This one is built for three riders: the traveler who explored Rome by classic Italian scooter and wants something better than airport merch; the Italian or European biker who has made the Via Appia run at least once; and the Roman rider who grew up with the wolf on every wall and wants it on a shirt that is actually cut for the garage. Tees are heavyweight 5.3oz ring-spun cotton, side-seamed and pre-shrunk. Hoodies are 8.0oz cotton-poly fleece with double-needle stitching at the stress points. Caps use raised embroidery on a structured six-panel. Every piece is checked by hand before it ships and tracked to your door in over 70 countries.
