Harley-Davidson celebrates its 115th anniversary with the 2018 motorcycle lineup. This year, the company introduces a variety of models and anniversary editions, including Softail and Sportster models with updated designs and enhanced features.
Harley-Davidson’s 2018 motorcycle models celebrate the company’s 115th anniversary. The lineup includes six main models, with 32 variations, plus ten special 115th-anniversary editions. With four Softail models offering two engine types, the total number of 2018 models rises to 46.
The company has pledged to introduce 100 new motorcycle models over the next ten years, including a complete line of electric motorcycles. Bill Davidson, President of the Harley-Davidson Museum, revealed that while these electric bikes won’t have the signature 45-degree V-twin engine sound, they will produce a unique sound akin to a jet fighter.
In November 2017, Harley-Davidson introduced the Sport Glide as the ninth member of the new Softail family. The Sport Glide comes with a new Softail frame, Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine, and offers features like quick-release saddlebags and a fairing-based windshield for enhanced touring and city cruising.

In 2018, Harley-Davidson made a significant change by retiring the Dyna line and introducing a completely revamped Softail family. This overhaul merged model names previously associated with both Dyna and Softail families. While the new Softail models may appear similar, there are substantial changes in their suspension, frames, and tires. Apart from the Softail models, other Harley-Davidson groups saw minimal updates, mostly limited to new color schemes.
2018 Harley-Davidson Street Motorcycles:
Three Street models from 2017 returned unchanged in 2018. These models come with the Revolution X Engine and are ideal for city riding with wide handlebars and low seat heights for maneuverability. Prices range from $6,899 to $8,699.
The 2018 Street 750, priced at $7,600, offers a 749cc engine. It shares the same weight and components as the 500 model, except for the engine size.
The most expensive Harley-Davidson model is the “Easy Rider” bike, which sold at auction for $1.35 million. This iconic motorcycle, known as “Captain America” from the 1969 film, is a symbol of American culture and patriotism.
